St. Benedict Catholic Academy Trust Feast Day 2025

On Friday, July 11th, 2025, the St. Benedict Catholic Academy Trust came together for a truly special celebration of the Feast of St. Benedict. Our collective of schools gathered at the magnificent St. George's Cathedral for a Mass filled with reflection, prayer, and community spirit. The day was a beautiful embodiment of St. Benedict's timeless motto,

"Ora et Labora" – Pray and Work.

We were honoured that Canon Victor Darlington and Father Valentine Erhahon, celebrated our special mass. Students and staff from across the Trust played active roles, making it a truly collaborative event. Children from all schools celebrated with fantastic singing, led beautifully by the St Michael’s choir.

Embracing St. Benedict's Legacy

As the Patron Saint of Students, St. Benedict's teachings resonate deeply within our school community. His motto, "Ora et Labora," reminds us that "Pray" means taking time for quiet reflection and connecting with our spiritual side, while "Work" encompasses putting effort into all aspects of our lives – studies, friendships, and contributions to our schools.

The celebration also provided an opportunity to reflect on how we can show humility and respect, contribute positively to our school communities, and embrace stability through consistent effort and being reliable friends.

We also remembered St. Benedict's words, "And let them first pray together, that so they may associate in peace". This aligns perfectly with our Trust's journey this year as Pilgrims of Hope through events like Flame, Trust Pilgrimages, and Student Voice meetings.

It was a truly inspiring day that reinforced our shared values and strengthened the bonds within the St. Benedict Catholic Academy Trust.
