Shepherding Talent Catholic Leadership Programme with St Mary's University
This week St Benedict Catholic Academy Trust Interim Directors of Education, Felicity Corcoran and Joanne Hawthorne launched the first cohort of the Shepherding Talent Programme, which is an accredited Catholic Leadership programme with St Mary's University Twickenham.
22 staff from across all SBCAT schools attended the launch afternoon at St Michael's Catholic College on Tuesday 23rd September and took part in a prayer service in the chapel and an introduction workshop delivered by Professor John Lydon and Dr Caroline Healy from St Mary's. Over the course of the next 6 months staff will attend a further 5 workshops focused on leadership in Catholic schools and modelling Gospel values in their own leadership.
The course will conclude with a celebration event at St Mary's in the spring term. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of the cross SBCAT school networks that will be established during the programme, which we know will promote Catholic life and the sharing of best practice across our Trust for the benefit of all in our communities.
