RISE Fortnight 2026

We’re excited to share that St Michael’s & St Joseph’s will be hosting visits during RISE Fortnight 2026 

The RISE program (which stands for Retention Incentive and School Engagement) is a Department for Education (DfE) initiative designed to support teacher recruitment and retention, particularly in schools and regions that benefit most from high-quality professional development.

RISE Fortnight is the "showcase" element of this program. It encourages high-performing schools to open their doors so that prospective teachers, ITT (Initial Teacher Training) students, and leaders can see best practices in action. It’s essentially a "professional open house" aimed at inspiring the next generation of educators.
